Lane Neave is delighted to announce the elevation of three solicitors to the Partnership of the firm, in recognition of their outstanding work and contribution.
Carlo Wan will become a Partner in the Corporate team from 1 October 2022 and Julia Strickett and Sarah Duncraft will join the Partnership – in the Immigration and Commercial Property teams respectively – effective 1 January 2023.

Meet the newest Lane Neave Partners
Carlo Wan
Auckland-based Carlo specialises in business acquisition, corporate structuring, commercial contracts and financial services. His client list includes internationally listed and unlisted corporates, Chinese state-owned entities, financial institutions and international consumer brands.
Carlo said of his promotion: “I am excited and honoured to join the Lane Neave partnership as it is a progressive and forward-thinking firm that is going from strength to strength. I look forward to the opportunity to grow and expand the Auckland office.
Julia Strickett
Julia also works in the firm’s Auckland team and is a specialist immigration lawyer with experience in New Zealand, Australia and Europe. She works with a range of employers, from owner-operators to listed and multinational corporates, helping them to source offshore talent. Julia works on complex immigration instructions including advocacy against deportation liability, special direction requests to the Minister of Immigration and the regularisation of non-New Zealand residents onshore.
Julia says: “It is a great honour to join the Lane Neave partnership. The firm provides exceptional legal services, while at the same time creating a fun and supportive workplace culture. I genuinely enjoy coming to work each morning and look forward to championing the business and cultural aspirations of the firm.”
Sarah Duncraft
Sarah specialises in commercial property and practices in the national team’s Christchurch office. She has considerable experience in large-scale acquisitions and divestments, commercial leasing and development agreements assisting a range of clients from NZX and ASX listed companies to high-net-worth individuals.
Sarah said: “I am delighted to be joining the Lane Neave partnership in 2023, and excited to be extending the firm’s offering in the areas of property, trusts and succession planning.”
These latest appointments bring the total number of Partners to 27, with over 150 staff across the firm’s Auckland, Christchurch, Wellington and Queenstown offices.
