Our support of the Great Potentials Foundation has resulted in South Auckland families receiving essential supplies ahead of the fast-approaching winter flu season.
Great Potentials recently offered vaccination support at their Family Service Centres (FSC) in Takanini and Papakura. In addition, thanks to our donation, they gave away health bags filled with essential supplies to all community members who joined the Community Influenza Immunisation Programme.
Over two days, more than 60 families from a diverse group, including migrants and those facing deprivation, received the vaccination support.
Great Potentials is one of a variety of charitable causes and community projects we actively support throughout New Zealand.
Lane Neave Managing Partner Andrew Shaw says the partnership is an integral part of a firm-wide commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
“Over the past four years, we’ve continued to build a ground-up CSR programme that taps into social issues identified by our staff. Our support of Great Potentials ties into two of our over-riding goals – to support strong and connected communities, and help to develop diverse and inclusive workplaces.
“The work that Great Potentials does to help children, young people and families toward brighter futures is inspiring, and we’re so pleased that we’re able to help them achieve this.
“Many of the goals and values of Great Potentials align with ours. For example, we’re consciously striving to create a diverse and inclusive workplace, plus have numerous programmes in place to unleash the potential of our own people – from law clerks to Partners.”
Later this year, Lane Neave will host a group of Great Potentials youths at its Auckland office, providing a sneak-peak of life at a law firm in the hope it will inspire future careers in the legal profession.
