We were thrilled to be a part of the MATES (Mentoring and Tutoring Education Scheme) Senior Graduation 2024 as part of our wider partnership with the Great Potentials Foundation recently.
MATES addresses the underachievement in education of disadvantaged youth in New Zealand by intervening in a young person’s education at two key transition points.
Partner Fiona McMillan presented certificates to some of graduates at the ceremony that celebrated the achievements of Year 13 MATES Mentees from seven secondary schools in and around Auckland.
“The evening was a great opportunity to celebrate the drive and determination of these talented young people,” Fiona says.
“We genuinely feel privileged to be able to play a tiny part in this mahi.”
