Merger boosts Wellington presence

Specialist Wellington property and commercial law firm, Impact Legal, has amalgamated with Lane Neave, further consolidating our presence in the Wellington region.

Principal Jade Aislabie and his team joined us on 1 July, 2024 – boosting our legal capability in commercial property,  commercial leasing, and general commercial law.

Lane Neave Managing Partner Andrew Shaw is anticipating real gains for existing and potential clients from the merger,

“I feel confident that the clients Jade and his team bring with them will benefit from the wider suite of legal services that Lane Neave’s national team provides.

“At the same time, adding another Partner to our Wellington team increases the reach and capability that we can offer that specific market. Jade joins Wellington-based Partner Andy Bell, who specialises in employment, and family and relationship law, and they’ll both work closely with our other teams around the country.”

Since joining Impact Legal in 2002, Jade has built up a significant practice that focuses on property and commercial law.

“Merging with Lane Neave will provide my existing clients with access to a deeper, national pool of experts – in both these and other legal fields,” Jade says.

“We’re genuinely looking forward to the prospect of accessing and leveraging this additional specialist advice.”

In addition to Wellington, Lane Neave has offices in Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown. Shaw says this geographical coverage is not matched by any other major law firm in New Zealand.

“It enables us to provide more immediate and personal legal services and representation to clients throughout the country.”

things simple.
