Jessica is a bilingual litigation and dispute resolution lawyer, fluent in Spanish and English.
Jessica has experience acting for businesses and individuals on a wide range of contractual and commercial disputes, primarily in areas such as insurance, debt recovery and insolvency. She has also advised clients on disputes relating to shareholder agreements, directorships, intellectual property, professional negligence, nuisance, the sale of goods and relationship property. Jessica has appeared in the District Court and High Court, and as junior counsel in the Court of Appeal and Supreme Court. Jessica is known for her kind manner, attention to detail and ability to find simple solutions to complex problems.
Prior to beginning her studies, Jessica received a Canterbury Law Scholarship. While attending the University of Canterbury she was awarded a Prime Minister’s Scholarship for Asia and travelled to China on a business course. She also worked in Sydney, Australia. After graduating with degrees in accounting and law in 2017, Jessica joined Lane Neave.
Her interest and enthusiasm for the law is reflected in her day-to-day work and her ongoing contribution to the online Lexis Nexis publication, Commercial Law in New Zealand.
