We have significantly boosted the strength of our national Dispute Resolution team with the appointment of two internationally experienced senior lawyers.
Amarzaya Gantumur and Patrick McPherson have joined the firm as Special Counsel.
Their appointments bring the total headcount of this highly skilled nationwide team to 16 and deepen its expertise in resolving a broad range of commercial disputes.
Amarzaya Gantumur
With more than 14 years of international experience, Amarzaya is based in Christchurch and specialises in litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution. She has acted as counsel in numerous complex corporate and commercial transactions, and litigation matters including cross-border litigation and international commercial arbitration.
Amarzaya has qualified and operated within the legal systems of Mongolia, Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. She has specialist expertise in global mining and is currently representing an Australian/Philippines entity in an international commercial arbitration.
She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Patrick McPherson
Patrick is a skilled litigator with broad experience handling commercial, civil and construction disputes. He has more than 20 years of experience as a senior litigator, including working in the Middle East for top tier international law firms and as in-house counsel for one of the region’s largest construction companies.
Recognised in the Middle East by Legal 500, Patrick has a proven track record of successfully representing clients in large, complex disputes across a range of sectors before arbitration forums and domestic courts.
