2024 accolades for Lane Neave in IFLR1000

Lane Neave’s Banking and Financial Services Team has been recognised in two practice areas in this year’s IFLR1000 rankings, plus Partner Evelyn Jones has been named a Woman Leader once again.

The team has been ranked as notable for their expertise in Banking & Finance and Capital Markets, while Evelyn is one of 14 women across New Zealand law firms to be named a Women Leader.

“The recognition is a testament to the talent and drive of all of our people who are part of this high-performing legal team. Also, to Evelyn who has been included in the IFLR1000 directory for many years,” says Lane Neave Managing Partner Andrew Shaw.

“Evelyn’s recognition comes hot-on-the-heels of her being included in the prestigious 2024 NZ Lawyer Elite Women, a comprehensive round-up that highlights the best women in the legal industry. Similarly, being named an IFLR1000 Woman Leader is an elite rating reserved for the most prominent women lawyers practicing in corporate financial law.

“It’s a reflection of her outstanding reputation in the market, her expertise of working on highly complex deals and her influential leadership role here at Lane Neave.”

IFLR1000 is part of the London-based Legal Benchmarking Group, with research solely on business law. In 2024, 181 New Zealand lawyers from 20 law firms were listed in Australasia rankings.

To determine its rankings, IFLR1000 analyses thousands of submissions, conducts thousands of interviews with law firm partners, and surveys tens of thousands of clients. They evaluate law firms and lawyers by practice area within a jurisdiction based on transactional deal evidence, with ratings based on three key criteria: complexity, innovation and market impact.
